With 25 plus years as a technology leader, Victoria began her career with the U.S. Department of Defense developing computer-based training programs for military systems used by troops in the field. Developing for a user base that has limited time and resources, helped Victoria establish an understanding of the importance of designing software with a customer focus. The experience she gained there became invaluable when recruited to join the development team for ecommerce start-up Buy.com, Amazon.com’s primary competitor in the early days of ecommerce. As VP of Development, Victoria led a staff of internal and outsourced software developers, designers, and UI teams to drive all aspects of Buy.com’s website development, maintenance and governance with the goal of staying competitive while also keeping costs to a minimum.

Following her 12 years at Buy.com, Victoria spent 7 years as VP of Omni-Channel Commerce for musical-instrument retailer, Guitar Center. At Guitar Center, Victoria directed all commerce application design and development for the company’s 5 brands with a clear goal of creating scalable applications with a low support cost.  This included the design, development, QA and deployment of the Oracle Commerce websites, iOS and Android mobile applications, Call Center applications, In-Store POS applications and store support applications. Supporting the in-store applications for almost 500 Guitar Center and Music & Arts locations, allowed Victoria to expand beyond ecommerce and become experienced in the field of all things IT commerce related. This became invaluable when she went on to become CTO of ECN Direct Marketing Solutions, an ECN Capital company.

At ECN Direct Marketing Solutions, Victoria worked to secure the Sam’s Club home improvement contract and deliver the Sam’s Clubs home improvement program to 589 Sam’s Club store locations across the United States. At ECN DMS, Victoria designed and developed a program that included the establishment of a call center, software systems, and software integrations to over 600 dealers in the home improvement program.

Victoria has a B.S. in Telecommunications from San Diego State University and is a certified Scrum Master.

For years prior to having children, Victoria volunteered her time teaching computer skills to women reentering the workforce. Currently, Victoria holds officer positions on the PTSA of both of her children’s schools and volunteers her technology skills helping the clean ocean movement.
